Thanks once again for your interest - and your patience. I had earlier boasted to Peter Leygh that I could have a system up and running within two weeks of finding a suitable location. While that's certainly true from a network engineering perspective, the reality of living here in Paradise is that there's always additional challenges.

One of those challenges is that we received defective hardware, which is very unusual in carrier-class equipment. So unusual, in fact, that the manufacturer's support department wasn't quite sure how to handle an advance replacement. A friendly call to their Senior VP of Networks seemed to help them figure it out:)

Another challenge is coordinating providers, construction and contractors. Thanks to Dockside Landing management and staff, that's working out well. Once we get going, it would be appropriate to recognize their efforts.

I expect replacement equipment this weekend or early next week. On Wednesday, we'll finalize cabling and equipment locations to minimize future service interruptions. Between those we'll once again start initial testing, which is focused on radio link performance through good weather and bad.

By early July (really) we should be ready for production. The next step is to work out the CPE process - acquisition, provisioning, sale and delivery. More on that as we get closer.
